The system, developed in partnership with Lambert Smith Hampton, is used to ensure that the contractors they use are of the highest calibre and hold the relevant documentation to ensure safe working procedures within their properties, thereby reducing liability and ensuring legislative compliance. PASMA.
The PASMA Code of Practice, which has come to be the definitive access tower reference document for managers, supervisors, health & safety professionals and users alike, and which has been completely updated to incorporate the requirements of the Work at Height Regulations 2005, was also first produced in the 1980s. IPAF.
The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) promotes the safe and effective use of powered access worldwide. Set up in 1983, IPAF is a not-for-profit members’ organisation that represents the interests of manufacturers, distributors, users, and rental and training companies. The IPAF training programme for platform operators is certified by TÜV as conforming to ISO 18878.
